Here comes the sequel to the smash-hit family comedy Night at the Museum by director Shawn Levy. When the Natural Museum of History begins renovations and has to move the old exhibits into the Federal Archives of the Smithsonian Museum; Larry must go to rescue his friends and bring them back. With an excellent cast including Ben Stiller, Amy Adams, and Owen Wilson this is a great movie for kids and adults of all ages to love and enjoy. Ben Stiller made an awesome performance in this movie as Larry Daley, Owen Wilson has done it again as Jedidiah the inch tall cowboy with a big mouth and the beautiful Amy Adams who plays the role of Amelia Earhart has performed exceptionally as well. Ben Stiller returns in this movie not as a night guard, but as Larry Daley, CEO of Daley Devices. Larry's career took a big jump from working as a night guard to inventing unique products like glow-in-the-dark flashlights, and he feels guilty because he was not there for all his night-time buddies at the museum. So now he and newfound friend, Amelia Earhart, the first to fly over the Atlantic, must fight the Battle of the Smithsonian to bring them home. Most of todays comedies are either short on laughs, short on plot, or just not even worth the time to see them, but you can be sure that this is not one. This is genuinely the best family comedy that has come out in 2009. It is definitely a 5-star comedy and will certainly be an ideal choice for the years to come. This movie has a more in-depth plot than the first. The comedy situations are way better, and the characters are a blast. Sure Jedidiah (Owen Wilson) and Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams) are a hoot, but when you bring in characters like General Custer, Darth Vader, The Thinking Man statue, Al Capone, and even Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street, you can expect to get even more laughs. From monkeys talking to Abe Lincoln walking, this movie is guaranteed to have you doubled over from the beginning to the very end. This is a movie for all families to love and enjoy throughout the years. Movie review about Night at the Museum 2 by Candice Pardue of SelectWriters.com
