Terms of Service
SelectWriters.com will write your press release based on the information you supply to us. You are responsible for any information (or lack thereof) in your release, including the accuracy of your release's information. Once completed, a PR draft will be sent to you via e-mail in plain text format. Text format enables you to submit your release to various venues, format it or paste it into other programs as needed for promotions. You will be able to review your draft and ask for up to two revisions per release (besides any grammatical issues). Please review your release carefully to be sure it targets your audience without sounding like a "sales" presentation. It should read as a news story to target news editors. What to Expect after Your Order is Placed: *Note: We prefer to correspond with clients using e-mail - this saves time and money, enabling us to offer services at an affordable rate. If you do need to speak by phone, however, please e-mail first to request a call.
1. Initial E-mails: You'll receive initial e-mails with any questions or confirming that we have received your information for the writing of your release. 2. Research and consulting: We do provide suggestions and will do minor research as pertaining to the release subject matter on an as-needed basis. For extensive research and consulting, however, you may incur an additional charge of $50 per hour. 3. Corrections: We will make changes to the release according to your needs, with up to two revisions (not complete re-writes) of the release content. Complete re-writes may be done at our discretion - we try to gather all information necessary up front as well as your main subject of focus so the first draft will meet your needs. A re-write charge of $150 may be incurred if we feel the initial release was written to your specifications and you request a total "change of direction" in your release subject mid-project. 4. Final Copy: Once your corrections/revisions have been made, you'll receive a final copy of your release. You will then be asked to submit a "Final Approval" stating that the release is satisfactory as written. 5. Time Restraints: Please allow up to two weeks for press release completion. This provides ample time for us to gather your information, do research if necessary and make any revisions. If on a tight deadline, please let us know ahead of time and be sure to get all your information to us at the time of ordering. *NOTE: We ask that each client provide a deadline or date of release at the time of ordering. 6. Guarantee: Although we cannot guarantee that your press release will be published in news media outlets, we can guarantee prompt, courteous service and professionally written releases. We also realize there are many ways a release can be used to gain publicity (not just through mainstream media outlets). Press releases can be submitted to e-zines related to your industry, posted on your own website in a "news release" section and posted at free press release sites. This means that no release is a waste of effort...and all can be used to your advantage if you use these methods of promotion wisely. 7. Distribution: We do not offer press release submission or distribution services at this time. We can recommend trustworthy services to you if you're not sure where to start in PR promotions. 8. Right to Refuse: We have the right to refuse any press release or content writing for any reason. Press releases and content will not be written that include profanity or information pertaining to pornography, gambling, illegal drugs, or any product/subject matter that is immoral, illegal or controversial. |
